Project 5: Microsoft Word Article - Report With Footnotes.
Locate at least two articles on Microsoft Word features
or Microsoft Windows features. Use the Internet to fine the articles. Type
a two-page report, double spaced, summarizing the information you read from
the articles.
Reference each web site with a footnote. For information
on referencing articles and web sites, please see the following web site:
To create a footnote, position your cursor where you
want your footnote to appear, click Insert and the Footnote.
At the Footnote and Endnote dialog box, make sure
Footnote is selected, and then click OK or press enter.
At the footnote pane, key the first footnote reference.
Press the Enter key once after keying the footnote text (this will separate
the first footnote from the second footnote by a blank line).
Click the Close button to close the footnote pane.
Continue to add footnotes following the above steps within the document
where references are needed.
Create a header page - # that prints at the top right
margin on every page except the first page. To create a header, click View
and then Header and Footer.
At the header pane, turn on bold and right alignment
on the formatting toolbar, then click the insert page number button on
the Header and Footer toolbar.
To create a header page number that prints on all
pages except the first page, click the Page Setup button on the Header
and Footer toolbar (it looks like an open book).
At the Page Setup dialog box, make sure the Layout
tab is selected.
Click Different first page. (This inserts a check
mark in the check box.)
Click OK or press Enter.
With the header pane displayed, click the Show Next
button on the Header and Footer toolbar. (This opens another header pane.)
Click the Close button on the Header and Footer toolbar.
